About the role

The Shire of Ravensthorpe is seeking a highly self-motivated and experienced person to fill the full-time position of Heavy Plant Operator/ Labourer within our Infrastructure Services Team.

 

As a Plant Operator you will be responsible for all duties which assist with Shire road construction and maintenance as well as operating trucks and machinery to support the delivery of the Shire’s works program effectively and efficiently. You will work as part of a team to ensure productivity and quality results are achieved in road maintenance and construction.

 

As a Plant Operator/ Labourer you shall demonstrate strong experience in road construction, including the operation of trucks, loaders, backhoes, bobcats, rollers and other miscellaneous plant and equipment. The successful applicant will be provided with training and support required for the position.

Conditions

Applicants must have or be willing to successfully obtain:

 

  • White Card
  • Current HC license (however MC is preferred)
  • Heavy Machinery tickets
  • Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol.
  • National police clearance.

A total salary package from $86,556pa will be offered dependent on qualifications, skills and experience as per the Ravensthorpe Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2023.
