Your firebreaks should now be in place. They must be maintained as per the Shire of Ravensthorpe Firebreak Notice 2024-25 until 30 April 2025.
Fire Control Officers are permitted under the Bush Fire Act 1954 to enter your property to inspect your firebreaks.

The Shire of Ravensthorpe has one Visitor Information Centre serviced by a team of amazing volunteers and is located in the Ravensthorpe town centre. Visitors can pick up information about attractions in Hopetoun, Munglinup and the Fitzgerald River National Park in addition to visitor information for surrounding regional areas. In addition to picking up maps and brochures, visitors have the opportunity to discover the local history by exploring the various collections of the Museum which is co-located with the Information Centre. Entry to the museum is by donation and there is great gift shop of local products, souvenirs and books by local authors to help you remember your visit.
In Hopetoun, visitor information is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, within the Hopetoun Community Centre which has a self-service Visitor Information Hub which has an interactive touchscreen about local attractions and events, what to see and do during your visit and where you can eat. You will also find brochures and maps of the Fitzgerald Biosphere Coast region and surrounds. National Park Passes can be purchased from Hopetoun Community Resources Centre, where the friendly staff are also on hand to assist you with your enquiries.
