Research shows many tourists routinely bypass the region during their travels to or from Esperance. Our goal is to enhance tourism numbers and accommodate the potential influx of visitors.
A way to do that is to leverage the region's primary asset, which is its wealth of natural tourism experiences like colourful wildflowers, scenic hikes, and stunning beaches.
The key opportunity lies in implementing effective marketing strategies that highlight the region's unique offerings.

Strategic Community Plan 2020 - 2030
The Strategic Community Plan sets out the community’s vision and priorities for the future, and the key strategies we will focus on to achieve our aspirations. The purpose of the plan is to:
- guide Council’s medium-term plans and annual budgets;
- provide the basis for working with our community and partners to achieve the vision;
- provide the basis to pursue funding by demonstrating how projects align with the aspirations of our community and the strategies outlined in the plan; and
- provide a framework for monitoring progress.
