About the role
The Shire of Ravensthorpe has an exciting opportunity available for energetic and passionate Early Childhood Educators to join our Little Barrens and The Cub House Childcare Centre Teams. We are looking for Casual Educators who are qualified or working towards their certificate or diploma. The successful applicant will be, highly motivated, team focused and will possess excellent communication and organisational skills together with a passion for childcare.
As a childcare educator you will work within a team to provide a stimulating environment, which supports children’s wellbeing, relationships and learning through spontaneous play opportunities, intentional teaching, and partnerships with families, the community and critical reflection. Assist in the implementation of an individual children’s curriculum, in line with legislative requirements and contemporary theories and approaches, responding to individual strengths and interest of children, families and staff. Adhere to current health, safety and child protection policies.

Conditions
Applicants must have or be willing to successfully obtain:
- Working with Children Check
- Must hold a minimum of a Certificate 3 or be actively working towards once commenced, support is available during your study.
- Diploma or ECT qualifications are preferred but not essential
- Current National Police Certificate (no more than 3 months old)
- First aid certificate including anaphylaxis and asthma;
- Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol

The successful applicant will be offered an attractive hourly rate that will be negotiated dependent on qualifications, skills and experience as per the Ravensthorpe Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2023.

Location
The Shire of Ravensthorpe encompasses the settlements of Ravensthorpe, Hopetoun, Jerdacuttup, Munglinup and Fitzgerald and is located within the picturesque Fitzgerald Biosphere Coast region. Located five hours south east of Perth, two hours west of Esperance and three hours east of Albany, the Shire of Ravensthorpe is nestled amongst the spectacular Fitzgerald River National Park, the Ravensthorpe Range and stunning coastline.
