Which bin should I use?

The red lid general waste bin is mainly for things which can’t be recycled: 
  • Food and organic waste
  • Grass clippings and small pruning 
  • Nappies
  • General household waste
All items in the yellow lid recycling bin should be clean, dry and empty with the lids removed.
The following can be recycled:
  • Glass bottles and jars (Clean and empty)
  • Paper (Not shredded)
  • Cardboard (Flattened)
  • Plastic bottles and containers (Clean, empty, no lids)
  • Steel and aluminium cans (Clean and empty)

Verge waste collection 2024

Collection of residential waste from verges will take place from Monday 30 September to Friday 4 October 2024.  

Please place items on your verge neatly. Items will not be collected from vacant land or public reserves.
