The Shire of Ravensthorpe hosted an event this week to acknowledge and celebrate recipients from our region being awarded an Australian Honour in 2024.
Order of Australia recognises Australians who have demonstrated outstanding service or exceptional achievement.
Chenda Goldfinch and Ann Williams both received a Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the local community over many decades.
The late Ian Goldfinch and Nicholas Way also both received a Medal of the Order of Australia this year and were both acknowledged and celebrated at the morning tea.

Richenda (Chenda) Janey Goldfinch(Australia Day Honours List)
Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the community of Ravensthorpe.
Nicholas John Way (Monarch’s Birthday Honours List)
Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the media as a journalist, and to the community.
Annie (Ann) Williams (Monarch’s Birthday Honours List)
Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the communities of Ravensthorpe and Jerdacuttup.
