Genestreams Journey Sculpture unveiled

The new Genestreams Journey Sculpture in Ravensthorpe was officially unveiled on Sunday 16 March with a lovely event that included songs, speeches and an afternoon tea.

This sculpture is part of the Genestreams of Gondwana Link Trail through the South West and the expanding national trail of Genestreams Journey Sculptures.  

Shire President Tom Major praised everyone involved with the project and said it was another great example of our community working together.

“This has been a labour of love for many people in our community over several years now,” he said.

“One of the best things about this sculpture is that students from Ravensthorpe District High School worked with the Gondwana Link team to help design the artwork. It is lovely to know their artwork is going to bring joy to visitors and locals on this main street for many years to come.”

Thank you to the Shire staff who helped with this event and also the team who helped with the installation of the sculpture.
