This week teams from Hopetoun, Corrigin, Tammin, Southern Cross and Merredin competed in the Seniors Games in Hopetoun.
The Hopetoun Community Hall was a buzz of activity with over 70 seniors taking part.
A team from Hopetoun was the overall winner.
Shire President Tom Major said Council was happy to support the event with funding through the Community Development Fund (CDF).
"The CDF is set up specially to support events or groups with projects that will benefit the whole community, such as this event," he said.

"It was a no brainer for us to support it because we know how important it is to stay active, and we also understand the importance of being socially active as well."

Many volunteers from the community also helped out on the day including students from Hopetoun Primary School.

The next Seniors Games is being held in Corrigin in March.

Congratulations to everyone who competed and all involved with the event!
