Expressions of Interest on plane tail

The Shire of Ravensthorpe is calling for Expressions of Interest for the tail of the Boeing 737 that crashed in the Fitzgerald River National Park in February 2023.  

Part of the tail (pictured above) was gifted to the Shire of Ravensthorpe. During recent community consultation there was significant interest in the plane tail staying within the Shire of Ravensthorpe as a potential tourist attraction.

All Expressions of Interest must address the following:

  1. Provide details of the proposed plane tail location and display concept (map locations and any concept drawings)
  2. Outline the benefits of your project to the community  
  3. Detail the project costs
  4. Explain how initial construction will be funded
  5. Provide the timeline for your project
  6. Name who will be responsible for the plane tail into the future and how ongoing maintenance will be funded/carried out
  7. Include your organisation/group/or committee name and members (name of group, name of members involved, history of group and members)
  8. Provide main contact person and details
